President Muhammad Buhari has reiterates his administration commitment of providing security ensuring better economy and fighting against corruption.
Muhammad Buhari made this statement on Thursday 19th December, 2019 at Nigerian Police Academy Wudil, in a passing out parade ceremony of second regular course cadet of 628 Assistant Superintendent of Police.
President Buhari added that Nigerian Police Force as critical pillar of Nation security, the task of securing the life and properties of the citizens is of paramount important with quality officers that are equipped with knowledge and skills to face challenges of policing in an increasing complex Nigerian society.
Buhari said, the government will continue to support the Nigerian Police that is why “we created the Ministry of Police Affairs and then commended the management of the Police Academy for a job well done and urged them to sustain their tempo in all ramifications.
In his remark, the commandant of Nigerian Police Academy Wudil, AIG Zana Ibrahim said, although the Academy is facing challenges of infrastructural challenges of Hostels, Classroom and Conducive environment as this has not deterred the academy in its quest of competing globally in producing highly reformed, mobile innovation police force.
AIG Zana further stated that, he is equally delighted that the upgrade of the Academy into the status of a University standard which has enabled it to acquire good reputation as a variable degree awarding institution capable of advancing the education and training of its production and then seek the support of his Excellency the president and chairman Police Council in seeing that the police academy bill was passed and ascent.
Among the dignitaries are Kano state Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Minister of Police Affairs Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, chairman of the Police Services Commission (Rtd) Musliu Smith, Inspector General Of Police Muhammad Adamu as well as the family of the grandaunts as well as traditional title holders were in attendance in the event.
