Opening Comments by the Hon. Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, at the launch of the National Re-Orientation Campaign, Change Begins With Me, in Abuja on Thursday Sept. 8th 2016

My duty here today is to present - in a multi-media format - to Mr. President and the entire nation what our National Re-orientation Campaign, CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME, will look like.

2.   Permit me to quickly say that CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME is a Pan Nigeria Campaign that has no coloration whatsoever - whether it is political, religious or ethnic.  It is a campaign for all Nigerians, with the sole objective of achieving a paradigm shift in the way we do things. The campaign's principle is simple: Each one of us must be the change we want to see in our society!

3.   Therefore, we will expect all the states of the Federation to partner with us, especially through the provision of air time on their radio and television stations. This way we can reach every Nigerian.

‎4.   In addition to being multi-media, the campaign will be carried out in all the major Nigerian languages, will leverage heavily on the social media and will be largely youth-driven.

5.   And now, Your Excellencies, Honourable Ministers, Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, gentlemen of the press, it is my honour to present CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME!
